About the Artist

Michelle Knop-Rogers grew up on the southside of Chicago and spent most of her life in and around Chicago and its south suburbs. For the most part she is a self taught artist, having painted her first oil painting at the age of twelve. College years were spent at the American Academy of Art in Chicago obtaining a degree in Interior Design. She also attended the Art Institute in Chicago for fine art, and has attended workshops in Scottsdale, Arizona. Over the years, Michelle has exhibited her work in several juried art shows. More recently she has joined a local art class and studio group that has helped her define her representational style.
